This is a vodka-based version of the beloved French 75. The flavors are elegant, yet simple and will be a new staple in your cocktail repertoire. If you are wanting to try the original version, replace the Vodka with Cognac or Gin and the Prosecco with Champagne. I keep this recipe on repeat during the summer months because of how refreshing it is on a warm afternoon! Sláinte!
Step 1: Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Vodka, simple syrup and lemon. Shake for 20 seconds.
Step 2: Pour into glass and top with 2 oz of Prosecco. Garnish and enjoy!
Note: This drink is best served very cold. Chill your bubbly in the fridge and your Vodka in the freezer for an hour or two before preparing. You’ll also want to make sure that you fill your shaker with at least 1 cup of ice. You can even chill your glass beforehand, if you feel inclined!
